Mendelova univerzita spolupracuje na projektu „Zvýšení odolnosti a zemědělské produkce ve vybraných oblastech Jižní provincie, Zambie“, který je implementován Care Česká republika and Care Zambia, a to na období 2020–2023.

Cílem projektu je zajistit diverzifikaci zemědělské produkce a rozvoj agrárního venkova prostřednictvím posílení odolnosti malých farmářů a zranitelných komunit s cílem zmírnit dopady sucha ve vybraných oblastech Jižní provincie Zambie – okres Kalomo.

MENDELU spolupracuje na aktivitách týkajících se rehabilitace půdy, management přírodních zdrojů. Významně se MENDELU podílí na zalesňovacích aktivitách a managementu lesních školek. V roce 2020 proběhly první tréninky partnerských organizací, vládních úředníků i komunit. Významným aspektem je výzkum spotřeby dřeva pro produkci dřevěného uhlí a s ním spojené odlesňování oblasti.

Mendel University is cooperating on the project “Increasing resilience and agricultural production in selected areas of the Southern Province, Zambia”, which is implemented by Care Czech Republic and Care Zambia for the period 2020–2023.

The aim of the project is to ensure the diversification of agricultural production and the development of agrarian countryside by strengthening the resilience of small farmers and vulnerable communities in order to mitigate the effects of drought in selected areas of the Southern Province of Zambia – Kalomo District.

MENDELU cooperates on activities related to soil rehabilitation, natural resource management. MENDELU plays a significant role in afforestation activities and management of forest nurseries. In 2020, the first trainings of partner organizations, government officials and communities took place. Furthermore, MENDELU conducts a research f wood consumption for charcoal production and the associated deforestation of the area is underway.
