Určení věkové struktury populace Dracaena draco ssp. draco na Tenerife

V minulém roce se podařilo získat individuální projekt „Určení věkové struktury populace Dracaena draco ssp. draco na Tenerife“, a to díky Interní grantové agentuře (IGA) Lesnické a dřevařské fakulty Mendelovy univerzity v Brně. Projekt se zaměřuje na uměle vysázené jedince nejčastěji situované v zahradách místních obyvatel. Věk dračinců byl zjišťován přímo od místních obyvatel, jelikož dračince sice tvoří letokruhy, ale ty neodpovídají ročním přírůstům. Navíc bylo u jednotlivých dračinců vždy změřeno DBH, výška kmene a spočítán počet větevních sekcí. Projekt je součástí disertační práce se zaměřením na odhad věku vybraných stromovitých dračinců pomocí přímých metod.

The age structure of the population of Dracaena draco ssp. draco on Tenerife Island

Last year, an individual project „The age structure of the population of Dracaena draco ssp. draco on Tenerife Island“ was obtained, thanks to the Internal Grant Agency (IGA) of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno. The project focuses on artificially planted individuals located mostly in home gardens of local residents. The age of dragon trees was questioned directly from local residents, as dragon trees do form some growth rings, but there has not been proven that they correspond to annual increments. In addition, DBH and trunk height were measured and the number of branch sections were counted in each dragon tree. The project is part of a dissertation focusing on the age estimation of selected arborescent dragon trees using direct methods.
