I v letošním roce 2022 se Mendelu podařilo již podruhé získat učitelský projekt Ministerstva zahraničních věcí na podporu vysokoškolského vzdělání v oboru lesnictví na Univerzitě v Copperbeltu (CBU) v Zambii. Jsme rádi, že můžeme pokračovat ve spolupráci se studenty CBU, budoucími lesníky a také budoucími vědci. V tomto roce se studenti mohou těšit na výuku Geografických informačních systému a s ní i spojené školení pilotování dronů. Společně se studenty a kantory bude vybudováno nové univerzitní arboretum, čekají nás výjezdy do terénu a terénní praxe a vybraní studenti budou také finančně podpořeni ve svém vlastním výzkumu.

 

Teaching project with University of Copperbelt continues until 2024

This year 2022, Mendelu managed to get a teaching project in Zambia from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the second time in row, to support higher education in forestry at the University of Copperbelt (CBU). We are happy that we can continue to cooperate with CBU students, future foresters and also future scientists. This year, students can look forward to teaching Geographical Information Systems and related drone piloting training. Together with students and cantors, a new university arboretum will be built, field trips and field practice await us, and selected students will also be financially supported in their own research.
